6/5/2023 0 Comments Lo wang shadow warrior 3![]() ![]() Not that this is necessarily bad, but it seems like they needed to continue to pepper in the new grapple hook and it can become repetitive in spots. I really enjoyed all the designs of the levels even though a lot of it feels like small, interconnected platforming parts to get to the next battle arena. The story takes us through some really great looking Feudal Japan locations while we hack ‘n’ shoot through waves of nasty demons. This is the story about how Lo Wang gets his groove back. Teaming up with his once rival Orochi Zilla, Wang sets off on a mission to get his mojo back and stop another demon invasion lead by the world-ending dragon. We do get to play a few flashbacks through these segments where we are trying to take down the dragon, but ultimately Wang couldn’t finish and lost his mojo. This is where Lo Wang catches us up with the ending of two and a bit of an exposition dump about what’s happened since they released the massive dragon. We join Lo Wang amidst a completely destroyed Wang Cave, having a meltdown talking to action figures in his tighty-whities. My point being, Shadow Warrior 3 goes back to the first games linear story focus, but it also improves it a lot. However, the second game added so many weapons, stats, RPG elements, and mission freedom that if that is what you enjoyed more than Shadow Warrior 3 may feel like a big step back. For myself, I liked the more linear focus of the first game over the seconds procedural generated level designs and less focused story. ![]() Depending on when you got into the series you may have had mixed feeling about Shadow Warrior 2‘s direction. The Wang is back and harder than ever with a new sack of weapons and loads of hot new jokes. ![]()

6/5/2023 0 Comments Torchlight 3 cannons![]() ![]() ![]() In Torchlight III, Novastraia is again under threat of invasion and it’s up to you to defend against the Netherim and its allies. Torchlight 3 is available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.It’s been a century since the events of Torchlight II, and the Ember Empire is in decline. "We’re doing incredibly exciting things with Zynga, and while it will be a while before anything is announced, it’s going to be something you’ll be very interested in." Whether this will be a brand new ARPG to rival Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2 only time will tell, but it's likely players haven't seen the last of Torchlight. Schaefer thanks Torchlight 3 players for embarking on this adventure with him and his team, and he says to keep an eye on Echtra Games in the future for projects to come. This class seems to be compelling, and Echtra Games is excited both to present it to its players and to start its new journey in the industry of video games. Furthermore, Torchlight 3 will see the addition of a new currency type that is exclusive to the Cursed Captain, aptly called Doubloons, which are used to pay the ghost pirate crew and found constantly while playing the game. That's not all, as the captain can also call in for help from his flagship to fire a barrage of cannonballs on the foes from afar, or even bring the whole ship into the fight. RELATED: Torchlight III: Everything You Need To Know About The Railmaster Class This class also packs quite a few explosive skills which take advantage of the cannon to fire regular shots, or to fire phantom crew members with a skill called Plunderbuss. Summoning phantom swashbucklers is not the only thing Captains can do, as they also have access to cursed magic, likely related to the sea, pirate legends, and stuff of the sort. But we also wanted to bring back the giant hand cannons from TL2, and what better way than a ghostly pirate pillaging his own shipwrecks for ghastly ghouly cannons?"Ĭursed Captains will be able to give orders to the phantom crew, like using specific skills when needed, change position to the one chosen by players, or focus their gunfire on target debuffs with a detrimental effect called Black Spot, reminiscent of Pirates of the Caribbean. We really needed a strong summoner class, so this is a welcome addition. ![]() Cursed Captains can summon Cannoneers, Riflemen, Crewmates, and the First Mate to be under the captain's command, meaning that player agency is part of its gameplay. This is not the first class to summon minions in Torchlight, but it is the first one to do so with dedicated abilities and upgrades. Torchlight 3's Cursed Captain comes with a class-specific armor, which is capes, and the class reintroduces Torchlight's iconic hand cannons, which allowed many Engineer players and others to have tons of fun with their associated skills in TL2. RELATED: Diablo 2: Resurrected - The Case for Playing Amazon at Launch Torchlight 3's Cursed Captain, What Skills It Has, And The Future Of Torchlight This may be Echtra Games' swan song on Torchlight 3, but it doesn't mean the studio will never work on the series again if new games are made going forward. While this may seem like bad news to fans of the Torchlight franchise, especially considering Schaefer worked on all three games, the developer assures that his studio is leaving the game in a good spot. Schaefer described the inclusion of the Cursed Captain class, and this update in general, as Echtra Games' 'swan song' when it comes to Torchlight 3, as the studio was acquired by Zynga and the series' future will be in the hands of Perfect World Entertainment. The Cursed Captain will be a new archetype with a lot of potential that was never really tapped into over the course of three games, but according to Echtra Games CEO Max Schaefer, who spoke to Game Rant, this is the perfect time to have this class. The Cursed Captain is packed with new and exciting skills that make work as a summoner or a standalone powerhouse, and the class will be featured in the next Torchlight 3 update, alongside quality-of-life and performance improvements. Torchlight 3 will shortly be releasing a brand-new class, the fifth in the game, for the first time ever in its franchise's history. ![]() 6/5/2023 0 Comments Ammonite fossil![]() ![]() Many species of ammonites evolved quickly, but they survived for only around 250,000 years before evolving into something else. The ammonites became extinct 65 million years ago in the Great Extinction, which occurred in the late Cretaceous period. ![]() The ammonites were extinct cephalopods living during the Palaeozoic and Mesozoic, and it is common to find fossils of them today. We know a great deal about ammonites as they are usually found in fossil form, where remains or tracks of an animal are buried in sediments which then harden into rocks. For the casual viewer, many fossils need explanations for what they are, but ammonites have universal shapes to their shells, and their association with prehistoric seas is nearly self-explanatory. Ammonite shells are used as index fossils today, meaning that they can help to date other fossils found in the same marine rock layer.Īmmonite shells are abundant at different stages in geologic history, and scientists use them as an index fossils, in which the presence of specific types in one layer of rock can indicate a particular period. The rocks from the two sites should have been of similar age since they contained the same types of ammonites, which existed only briefly.Īmmonites are great fossil indexes, and it is usually possible to connect a rock layer that contains a specific species or genus with specific geologic periods. Numerous Ammonite Species Existedĭifferent species of ammonites lived at different times, so scientists can use these to help them establish the relative ages of the rocks they are found in. Nowadays, fossil ammonite is commonly found in most sedimentary rocks of the Devonian and Cretaceous periods, with outcrops of such rocks found in mountains and sedimentary basins. Titanite, from Portland stone, Jurassic, Southern Britain, is frequently 53 centimeters (1.74 ft) in diameter, while the Parapuzosia seppenradensis of the Cretaceous period, is among the largest known ammonite, sometimes reaching up to 2 meters (6.6 ft) across. The Nautilus, a cousin of the ammonite however, survived and is frequently found in the warmer oceans of the world today.According to The Independent, the fossil ammonite was the first found preserved in amber, one of the very first marine organisms to ever be preserved this way.Īmmonite fossils are found all over the world, but they appear most frequently near shorelines and in deserts. It was at the end of the Cretaceous that ammonites, along with dinosaurs and many other species finally became extinct. At the end of the Permian, some 96% of all marine life, and 70% of terrestrial life became extinct. Ammonoids and their relatives in general, go all the way back to the Devonian, so by the time the Triassic came around, there was many well evolved species of Ammonite in existence. They descended from straight shelled Cephalopods, Orthoceras being a well known species characterised by its long straight chambered body.
